TIE BLOG 2

VoiceThread My students really enjoyed the VoiceThread, they were excited to talk into the microphone, I had to rerecord them many times. They were eager to say what they thought the words meant to them and it helped them when we read the book again. My Questions: What were some problems you encountered? How did your students enjoy utilizing VoiceThread? How would you incorporate VoiceThreads into future lesson? 3 COMMENTS: Trish Love Laura Garcia Danielle Chavez

TIE BLOG 1

I have implemented Guided Reading in my classroom, therefore my lesson plan is over the book we are reading in class, Counting Letters. This book is a leveled reader for my low students, I have chosen four pages from the book. The students will be asked to explain what they think about being kind, helpful, smart, and what they like to do for fun, this will ensure comprehension of the reading. Life Coping Skills- VT

Through the Life Coping Skills Voice Thread we googled life coping skills and copied and pasted the pictures onto our Voice Thread.  My group member Elizabeth Campos invited me to be a co-editor.  I also embedded the video onto my blog.

I really think that Voice Thread can be used in many ways and for any subject or topic. It is a great way to recieve feedback and interaction from our peers.

TIE- Technology Integration Experience Thoughts

I really enjoyed watching the VoiceThread. I was particularly interested in the Shared Stories and I am Thankful VoiceThread. The Shared Stories VoiceThread had children write a short paragraph about a land form, the pictures they drew along with their paragraph was uploaded. The students were then able to "doodle" over what the student had written. I believe that would be a great way to keep the students in the classroom involved; they can add to the story.  The other VoiceThread I enjoyed was the I am Thankful VoiceThread. The students read the sentence and the viewer is able to hear them read their sentence. I think using that to write stories or letting people know you are thankful for them is a nice way for students to practice their reading skills. Students will enjoy utilizing VoiceThread in their classroom because it is a fun way to add to their work and make it more exciting.
